This is a project I've started at Blomidon to allow me to try new things, to experiment... basically to play.

Over time, I will be releasing unique small lots, crafted to push the boundaries of Nova Scotia wine.

The 2010 L'Acadie Fumé is the first release from The Rafuse Wine Company.
Barrel fermented and aged in French and American Oak, this wine was kept on lees for 5 months. Citrus and floral aromatics are accentuated by a hint of vanilla. This full bodied wine is framed by soft acidity. Pear, Jonagold apple and spice fill the palate.

This wine will be unlike any L'Acadie Blanc you have had before.
